On one of our many ramblings around Wardy Hill we found some beautiful field rush growing in what we have named “Dew Pond Meadow”.
When cut and tied some of the rush was as tall as the Apprentice Basketmaker Johnny.
The rush will be used for tiny vessels and I may take some along to the November workshop in Milton Keynes with friends from the Basketmakers Association.
We also gathered 6 and a half pounds of Blackberries for batch number 2 of Bramble Jelly to an Elizabeth David recipe.Summer in a jar.
